• Many years ago at the Lincoln Festival a friend of ours had the job of picking up Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee at their hotel and delivering them to the gig. When he arrived at the hotel he found the two of them sitting in their room playing, which they continued to do on the way to the back stage area. While waiting to go on they continued to play, breaking only to get on to the stage where they did their performance.
  
• After the performance they played in the van on the way back to the hotel and as their driver left them the sounds of guitar and harmonica could be heard down the corridor of the hotel. !!
  
• The material on this CD was recorded about 7 years before their performance at Lincoln and one suspects that they did not stop in the meantime.
  
• They had one of the most distinctive blues sounds of all time as Sonny's harmonica interwove in perfect sync with Brownie??s guitar to create the mesmerising sound that obviously took a lot of practice to achieve.
